The Bible study book Radical Thinking: 16 Studies on the Laws of Moses has now been published. It contains sixteen studies on the laws given to Moses—either on Mount Sinai or during the forty years that the Israelites wandered in the wilderness—and it demonstrates the relevance of God’s laws for today. The studies are divided into four groups of four, for those who wish to study the subject in smaller blocks.
The book is available through all the normal online bookstores and can be ordered through most good bookshops. Those in Australia can also order it directly from me, either online or through mail order.
My next project is to complete a sequel to A Day in the Life of a Pair of Trousers. I have already accumulated sixty (plus) stories in various forms of completion. So I now need to do a lot of polishing and editing, before deciding which stories to include and which to leave out.
A Twenty-First-Century Bible
At the same time, I have also decided to revisit the five-volume series A Twenty-First-Century Bible. Indeed, I am a great believer that any work done can always be improved. So I am currently in the process of revising the first volume, The Promised Land.
Now I am not expecting any major changes to the translation—it’s more a matter of improving the book’s presentation and readability. As a consequence, the changes will be more grammatical than theological. The end result, however, should be an even more readable and understandable translation of the Bible.
The website operationrepent.co.au—which was only launched in January this year—is going well. For a website that has hardly been advertised, it has received far more hits than I could ever have expected. It also now includes a monthly newsletter. Indeed, the issues so far are:
January 2021 — Operation Repent
February 2021 — The Sacred and the Profane
March 2021 — Stumbling Blocks to Faith. A. The Problem
April 2021 — Stumbling Blocks to Faith. B. The Solution
May 2021 — A Biblical View of Marriage
